Think about drinking a drink through a red coffee stirer straw. It would barely work. Then think about a regular straw. It's fine. Then think about a mcdonalds extra large straw. Perfect. Way easier to drink big gulps. Now upgrade it to a garden hose and you will have a hard time even getting any soda because while the hose offers no restriction, the actual volume in the hose prevents the pressure you are generating from reaching its target. Stock is the regular straw everyday straw. Sure it works, but move to the mcdonalds straw (aka 2.5") and boom, everything is better. Pressure, flow, everything. The question would be for a z32 configuration, would 3 inch be a better mcdonalds straw or closer to the overly large garden hose. I would imagine that for stock turbos 3" would certainly be too much. For some GTX's or 3071's or something, I'd be interested in seeing some test data. Just as a 6'7 man would have a lot easier time drinking from a garden hose than a 4' child.

Putting AMS garbage, and $500 ebay wheels on a Z is like dressing a Victorias Secret model in a Walmart dress and Payless shoes. You're embarrassing yourself. |
